The great but quirky and unpredictable Gulf Stream was crossed by Shearwater and mango andme and Zack. MOTORED all the way....yes I know cheating.....but need to start the journey....with no wind we would be thrown all the way up to Jacksonville by the 2-4 knot current. Off the gateway to the Bahamas we sit just west of Gun Cay. Tomorrow we enter the Grand Bahama Bank....an immense area of blue blue waters in depths of less than 10feet......will hopefully pass the position where we aborted our first attempt due to the engine failure. Notwithstanding a possible and brewing Starboard rudder problem, all well to date. mangoandmeandzack
