Dartmouth Classic Regatta
17 July 2016
Dartmouth Classic Regatta.
There was a most delightful interlude in our beating horror. We had two glorious days as guests of the Royal Dart YC in their beautiful clubhouse on the Kingswear side. 2 days of racing saw Pazienza lift the BCYC Trophy. The organisation, the staff and the catering were all superb, and a fine time was had by all. Many thanks to Peter and Xanthe who organised it.
On Sunday afternoon, Signs of Life, the band we had two years ago, were appreciated by all, and especially by me, as they put up with me sitting in on accordion and tin whistle, which made my weekend.
It's a brilliant occasion, and a wonderful addition to the Classic Regatta circuit. Pity it's only biennial.
