OYC invades Marina Riviera Nayarit
Capt. Crabby03/08/2012, La Cruz
I just looked out over the marina and saw a giant OYC burgee flying. I went over and Alchemy has apparently just finished the SD to PV race. Unfortunately there was no one on the boat, but at least now there are 2 OYC boats in the marina.

Every time Darwin does a post on FB I think of you guys. We are going boat shopping this weekend with Buddy. Looking a three boats in Marina Del Rey. You guys have got me inspired. Starting the planning for Emerald Bay. Meeting with Carleen Friday. Mark your calendar for 7/22 - 7/27. Bill is looking at boats for you two as well. Miss you!
C-Monkey goes to Tacos-on-the-street
Capt. Crabby03/04/2012, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
Well, last night we finally made it to Tacos-on-the-street. We went with Frank and Stephanie from "Endless Summer". The tacos were great, although the price has gone up to 15 pesos (about $1.20 US). I had 4, and I was stuffed!

We love Tacos on the Street. It's good to see you're in La Cruz. Have fun.

OK, now I'm just getting jealous of that darned monkey. I came back home & worked, and he spent the last 1-1/2 years cruising!
Yelapa
Capt. Crabby02/23/2012, Yelapa, Jalisco
"A palapa in Yelapa beats a condo in Redondo". I think that's an old song or something. Anyhow, we sailed over to Yelapa yesterday from La Cruz, about 15nm, and it's a very pretty little cove. We took a panga ashore, and had a nice lunch in a palapa in Yelapa. As you can see from the picture, we made a new friend. Regretfully, we didn't bring C-monkey ashore to meet our new friend. Darn!

You both look happy and healthy looks like crusing agrees with you.

Just catching up on all your adventures. Glad you two are having such a great time. Banderas Bay was one of my favorite areas. If you haven't done Tres Murietas yet you might want to check it out. Enjoy!
Sayulita & PV
Capt. Crabby02/16/2012
On Monday, we went to Sayulita, a very picturesque village on the beach north of here, and the surfing capital of the Riviera Nayarit. Jeanette's daughter-in-law has an artist friend who owns a home there so we visited her and toured the town. Very nice, quirky architecture and very arty. It was a neat trip.

Wait isn't that me body surfing that wave. Ha! Haven't even done that in a few years. Glad your having fun. Is the water about 80,its 59 here or something like that.
Keep bloging when you can. Still in La Cruz
Capt. Crabby02/09/2012, Marina Riviera Nayarit
Well, we're still in La Cruz. It's really nice here, and the slip rent is pretty reasonable. We've met some neighbors and have gone to Philo's for dinner a couple of times.

We celebrated Lee's birthday at Chocolat. Great views of the bay from there. We enjoyed La Cruz so much last year that Lee and I will vacation there March 10-18 and, if time permits, might check out real estate investment opportunities. We are renting a casita right at the marina entrance and will have a view of the anchorage from the front yard. If you think you will be around the area during that time, let us know.

Went to the boat show with Dave and Marisa. This time it got to me. We are selling our boat, purchasing a larger one and planing on doing the Ba Ha Ha in 2013. Love the monkey picture. Miss you guys.
