Enroute to Tabiteuea

Matt Satterlee
We have spent the past two days off of Bike Island fishing and storing some provisions for the team we are enroute to pick up on N. Tabiteuea. We'lll have about 12 passengers to take back to Tarawa along with all their equipment. The team has been doing evangelistic work in the islands South of Tarawa.

Our time is drawing to a close here in Kiribati. Feeling anxious to get back home for a while but we will miss the people here and the friends we have made.

Gary Morgan +1 will arrive here in Tarawa and sail with us back to Hawaii via the Phoenix Islands. We are well aware that NFL season is back.....and very anxious to watch some games when we return to the states.

The boat is holding up just fine except for a part we need for the generator. The exhaust mixing elbow is/has deteriorated in less than one year. We didn't expect that at all. Watermaker is running fine and refrigeration is working well.

Our evenings have consisted mostly of Rook games and movie at 9pm.

The islnds here are so remote and secluded that it takes forever to get anything. We never got the block we needed to finish the one project we set out to do while we were here. That is most frustrating of all. We have a few things that we need to sell before leaving Kiribati. We have an outboard engine and an extra tender to sell. Also trying to sell our scuba compressor and equipment before we leave. Only about three more weeks before we depart Kiribati for Hawaii.
