Since leaving Ibiza we've had a very comfortable run doing our overnight run and knocking over 140 nautical miles. There was little or no wind so our pace was slow but comfortable and we motored most of the way....seems like we've motored a lot since leaving Greece back in August. We were duding along yesterday and Ray spotted a disturbance out in the water on the port side and there was swordfish launching itself out of the water. It was quite a show and of course, despite all my efforts I didn't get a pic of it...then of course it went. A huge pod of dolphins passed us some distance off and Milo was beside himself with excitement, despite his sore shoulder. As we neared the coast, about 20 nautical miles off, we started to encounter a huge amount of debris, mainly a heap of bamboo but including several whole huge trees that were afloat just under the waterline. Very dangerous...wouldn't want to run into one of those in the dark. We arrived at around 4.30 pm this afternoon here at the anchorage and put the pick down for the night. First priority was walking Milo of course...he was absolutely desperate to go ashore. Sam and I went looking for fresh milk and bread but, being Domingo (Sunday), nothing was open.
