In case you hear the news about Bimini and worry here's the story. Firstly, we're all ok. Alledgedly a Bahamian Police officer shot someone last night in a nightclub when the person was drunk. This morning someone set the police station and police boats alight and at around 2pm we heard automatic gunfire coming from close by. This was because they were airlifting the offending police officer off the island and they wanted one last shot. A bit nerve racking for us because this was on about 300 metres from our docks. The womand from the Ministery Office reassured us we were safe. Soon after, more automatic weapons fire was heard. This is apparently is an unfortunate and unusual incident. We prepared the boats for departure in case we needed to leave quickly.
