We rounded Santa Maria Point at the top of Long Island and spied the monument to Columbus at the point. Practically every island in the Bahamas claims Columbus discovered them and San Salvador is another one, so we'll probably visit that one. The four hour trip to Conception was reasonably pleasant though a bit lumpy in the beginning. It was all worth it coming into the gorgeous, pristine harbour. We did some walking and running on the beach, pulled Sam along behind the dinghy on a tyre and then went snorkelling to check out the coral. Pretty good really. We finally caught up with 'Asolares' and had cocktails aboard 'Meander'.
