23 May 2009, Mourtos, mainland Greece
We are in a nice little anchorage off a very nice little town of Mourtos. Ray managed to get hold of an old sailski from the Chandery in Gouvia and today they set it up for some skiing behind the dinghy. Success! Sam's up on his knees but only for a minute. Every time he goes over a bump his knees hurt so stage two is to put some cushioning on the board.

After dropping the pick in the harbour we hopped in the dinghy and headed for a G&T on Rockhopper then into the village to check things out. We dropped into a local restaurant for a beer and a eggplant salad and watched the sunset over Corfu and the harbour. Very pleasant.

21 May 2009, underway to mainland Greece
We checked out of Corfu at the Gouvia Port Police this morning. When we entered Greece they gave us a Transit Log that we need to get stamped at each Port (interesting logistical exercise) when we arrive and leave. We're heading for three little islands off the mainland near Mourtos via Platarias and will anchor overnight and spend the day tomorrow as long as it's nice swimming conditions. We are well and truly into summer and the days are quite hot. Not what we're used to any more since we've had a cold winter in Italy. Not much to report over the past few days except that a machine swallowed Ray's credit card on the same day my new card arrived from Australia and now we have to cancel and reorder...sometimes everything seems too hard. We're then heading south to a new island every second day. We've been in touch with Wraith, the Aussies we met in Roccella Jonica in Italy, and they're now much further south than us so we may take a while to catch them, if at all. There's just so many islands and so little time.
