One pic says a thousand words!

I got to the entrance 15 minutes before Jenridge says slack at the railroad bridge. It was going from flood to ebb. Although I don't think it makes a difference going to flood or ebb. No detectable current at entrance. .5 knot EBB in the channel which isn’t a big deal.

Winds 15+ from the north. Motion on boat is fine. Not good if from the south. Temp today is perfect unlike last evening when it was a little bit warm.
Beautiful town. Only ice cream and coffee on shore.
launch from Mattapoisett boat yard is five dollars each way good service. Checked with harbormaster. It’s ok to anchor in the recreation area. Marked by small orange buoys. It’s in the west side of harbor. LOTS of room. They must monitor wakes. (Harbormaster and deputy on duty for a weekday). Best protection area. Beautiful, quiet harbor. Poor protection south and south east.

Absolutely beautiful sail. Took wind on the stern quarter. One foot seas. Beautiful weather. Winds west 8 to 10.
Mattapoisett harbor is wide open with much room between moorings.

Took a mooring outside. Winds west 12 to 15. Not nearly as rolly as yesterday.

Left FI at 5:30. Average 5 knots. Winds west 15 to 20. Seas on stern quarter. Very rolly first two hours. Used monitor under sail. Mostly just mainsail. Will try jib tomorrow.
Anchorage… winds from west. Movement from the winds but no rolling. Acceptable.
