...but that would keep us from going!

We're finally ready to leave the Encinal Yacht Club after two and a half weeks. We've had a lot of fun here at the club and we've gotten a lot done- not the least of which is an 11th hour decision to upgrade the battery bank and associated systems. (More amp hours means more time between charging times- a good thing.) We got the house rented (yay!) and the Honda sold (double-yay!). In fact the new owner took possession yesterday- the day before we leave, how perfect is that?

We also got in a lot of farewell visits with friends and family- the girls got see all their cousins (see the picture above) one last time before our trip.

So this morning we embark on our first passage, all the way to... Angel Island! Yep, not even out of the Bay. We've got some great friends who wanted to see us out the Gate after a last bon voyage raft-up. Can't say "no" to that!

On Sunday we'll head south for Half Moon Bay and then on the Santa Cruz(?) Hopefully we'll be finding wi-fi hotspots along the way so we can keep the blog updated.
