BACK TO THE ISLANDS
16 November 2010 | LA PAZ
Hola Amigos,
It is hard to believe that our week in Marina de La Paz is already over. In Corporate America, women always felt that one of the roots of discrimination was that they were not allowed in the Men's Room. Many deals were formed and completed there. In Cruising most of the events in our Social Calendar are started and scheduled in the Women's Bathroom.
Last night we were invited onto a neighboring boat with another couple. We had incredible BBQ ribs. We were then were introduced to Mexican Train Dominos. It almost has as many rules as golf but except for some spilt wine there are no water hazards.
Turns out that we are all going to "Buddy Boat" to the Islands north of La Paz. You tend to "Buddy Boat" with boats that have similar lengths because length dictates boat speed. First stop will be Caleta Partida, about 20 miles north. Then we may try to swim with the California Sea Lions at a Rookery at Los Islotes. Then we may go to Isla San Francisco, 44 miles north of La Paz.
We have moved our timetable up to arrive in Mazatlan around 11/28. We really don't want to miss our plane and hope that extra week will prevent that from happening. We will eventually get to Los Muertos, perhaps for Thanksgiving, to get ready for the 190 mile overnight trip to Mazatlan.
We have loved all your comments on our Blog. Keep them coming.
Happy Mexican Train Trails to you until we Blog again.
