Hola,
We know you have been waiting for the news before you go out and buy a new blazer, no upgrade.
Turns out it is harder to do a blog when you have jet lag than we thought.
So far our eyes and palates have been on sensory overload. Lunch was a perfectly cooked salmon and veal Milanese in a sidewalk cafe. Our cousin Marie invited us for a light and small dinner in her flat with a view of the top of the Tour Eiffel. Salad, cheese, veggies, prosciutto, fruit and a wonderful Bordeaux later sent us la la land.
Ten hours later we woke up and went down for Le petit dejeuner.
This was not your father's petit dejeuner.
It has been super sized. OJ,baguette, croissant, cheese, apple sauce, real yogurt, and a wonderful coffee. Every bite better than the first.
Looks like our attempt to look like a local failed After coming back from seeing Monet's Water Lilies at L'Orangerie a young lady tried the gold ring scam on us. While walking towards her she stoops down and picks up a gold ring and offers it to you. Not sure how it plays out but there are many variations on the theme.
Looking forward to another special meal with cousin Ariane.
No idea what new treats await us tomorrow.
Happy gastronomic trail to you.
