Dingy Delights
03 January 2009 | La Ropa Beach
Hola Amigos. La Ropa Beach will be soon losing one of its most entertaining tourist's attractions: The Merry Lee's dingy.
On New Year's morning, ML wanted to go for a walk on the beach. We did one of our best landings and went on our merry way. Sean and his family a little later walked over to the dingy and stared at it. 3 tables in the restaurant at the same time pointed down the beach to tell them where we were walking. Kaylie and Cade were racing each other down the beach to see who could get to us first.
Yesterday we learned the hard way, that when the dingy is half full of water that you cannot lift it. Luckily it does tilt.
Another moment that will go down in the annals of La Ropa Beach occurred when Sean lifted Angela out of the dingy so she would not get wet, cradled her and then gave her a big kiss. Burt Lancaster could not have done better. Standing ovation for that move.
Everyone in the water now knows to give us a wide berth when we come in. People fight for the best viewing position when we leave. We have 3 sets of dingy landing attire drying all of the time.
We now not only have the families at the hotel wave good-bye to us, half the beach is also waving or swimming rapidly away.
Our crew have left so we are going in to Ixtapa Marina to lick our wounds and wash the boat in the AM.
Delightful delights to you until we (dingy) Blog again.
PS: We need a new digital camera. We never dropped it in the water, honest. Any suggestions?
