Super Super Bowl
01 February 2009 | Santiago Bay
Hola Football Fans, The few cruisers who were interested in watching the SuperBowl were discussing all week about where we would watch it. It turned out that we watched it at a local hotel run by the aunt and uncle of a gentleman who used to run a little restaurant here in the Marina. We are used to intricate relationships here and can go with the flow. Before 9 of us piled into 2 little taxis, one boat quizzed everyone about their loyalities. We quickly looked at the stern of their boat and saw Phoenix was their home port.
We had the plasma TV, Spanish speaking announcers,Coronas, Colima peanuts, margaretas and hamburgers. Does not get much more Mexican Festa than that.
It was not looking good for the Cards so the Arizona crew left first. Luckily before we called for taxis the game turned interesting and we got to hoop and holler.
The aunt gave us Colima coffee as a "Thank you for coming" present.
We may spend a day or more here before we mosey up north.
Happy Super Week to you until we Blog again.
