When life throws you a curve ball

Hola Amigos,
We started writing this Blog a little over a year ago. We did not realize that it creates a responsibility to your readers. We have tried to use humor in most of our blogs. Humor was used to show that you need a good attitude when things go wrong . Boats of course offer many opportunities for these types of blogs. Problems frequently are catalysts to learning opportunities and to paradigm shifts.
We have used music titles and lyrics. One of our favorites is John Lennon's: "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans." No cruiser can go without quoting Jimmy Buffett: "Shells sink, dreams float, life's good on our boat."
We love making sport metaphors. "Nothing but bowl" was written the day before we left on last year's trip. Even the Bible believes in sport analogies: " Run the good race, fight the good fight."
We frequently described the challenges of meeting society's rules and regulations. The USPS was always good for a blog. While on the sea you don't have to worry which day is street cleaning.
Weather is always an important subject for cruisers. You can not change it, so you have to deal with it. Well, the day before we were going to leave on this year's cruise to Mexico we got one of the worse reports that you can get. ML's mammogram has a very suspicious abnormality. We had a biopsy and are waiting for the results.
Our blog is about the importance of family and friends. One of the allures of cruising is all of the wonderful new people that you meet. As you know we believe in the power of best wishes and prayers and miracles and Guardian Angeles. We greatly appreciate everyone's support.
We have signed off every Blog with the beginning of Dale Evans' ( wife of Roy Rodgers) song, "Happy Trails". Here is the entire song, kind of.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we Blog again.
