Happy Thanksgiving
27 November 2008 | La Cruz
Hola Amigos. We are alive but we don't want to bore you with " need to blog everyday blogs".
We have been having another special time here with new friends who share the concept that: if it is not broken then it will be very soon.
It is Thanksgiving away from our family. We have always looked forward to waking up early and cooking on Turkey Day. Here in La Cruz, Philo's, The Cruiser's Bar cooks the Turkeys for free and we bring the side dishes. We got to cook dressing in which we take great pride. We brought it to Philo's and put it in the public area. When you come in they give you playing cards that tell you when it is your turn to stand in line for dinner. FINALLY the 10 of hearts was called and we qued up. We saw this dish that was similar to ours and digged in. Everyone at our table assumed that that was ours so they digged in too. WELL, It was not ours. Not only was it not ours but it was better than ours. All of our new friends are complimenting our wonderful dressing and all we could do was smile. Some times being lucky is better than being good.
We were finally able to put some pictures in our gallery.
Tomorrow we start heading south on our Grandchild Odyssey to Z town.
If you have not done so please see us on Latitude 38 web site. http://www.latitude38.com/lectronic/lectronicday.lasso?date=2008-11-26&dayid=200
