Let it rain

Hola Amigos, The Merry Lee had not had a shower (rain shower) for almost 18 months. She generally gets a weekly bath but the water spray falls short of reaching the top of the mast. The first October rain storm in over 30 years arrived on Tuesday night. Wednesday morning Lewis put on his bathing suit and raincoat. Right after he had brought out all of the sails, the lady from a nearby trawler left for work. As soon as she got to her car she called her husband. We can imagine a conversation like this: "Honey. I knew our neighbor was a little strange but now I think he is wacko." "Why?" " Look out the port. It is pouring rain and he has all of his sails out and the hose going full blast." "Don't worry." Why?" "He is leaving next week for Mexico." "Thanks for letting me know. I was not looking forward to moving to another Marina." (Continued...)
