Adventures of Mer Soleil
Mom and Dad Visit
02/06/2012, Pool Time

We stayed at the house and still had the pool down at the marina. So we made use of that on one of the nicest days they were here.

The House
02/05/2012, Marsh Harbour

Now that our boat was on the hard and you know this only happens when you have company coming. We needed a place to stay and for a couple of weeks. So we found a house for a month that was a better deal than renting something for 2 weeks.

Boat Leak
02/04/2012, Marsh Harbour Boat Yard

We had a weeping leak that developed into a large leak and we decided that we needed to haul out the boat quickly.

Bluff House Marina on Green Turtle Cay
01/14/2012, White Sound

We enjoy this island and wanted to visit it again. We decided to stay for a week while we let some strong winds and cold weather pass. Kenny also spent some time fixing a leak that was related to a bad pump and a belt that needed to be replaced. We rented a golf cart and scooted around the island and were impressed with how nice everything looked. We understand that Hurricane Irene cleaned up some bad things that needed to go and everything else seemed to get new lumber and a fresh paint job.
The marina has a "Dockage for Dollars" plan where whatever you spend in the restaurant or bar gets credited against you dockage bill. Needless to say our dockage has been free. We also have been spending time with a new cruiser, Joe on sv/Gemini.

Manjack Cay
01/10/2012, Abaco Bahamas

We anchored at Manjack instead of going to Spanish Cay. It was a great anchorage with several boats in there. We met a few boats that spend their winter in this anchorage. The sunset was beautiful.

Great Sale Cay
01/09/2012, Abaco Bahamas

We left Old Bahama Bay, West End thinking we had a couple of nice nights to anchor out before getting to Green Turtle Cay. The air was heavy and almost foggy. We had a haze all day and we could not tell where the horizon was.
The water just blended into the sky making it look like a fairytale.
