The rest of the way to our new home!

Mary and Greg
We made it to our new temporary home about 3:30 yesterday. The last few days have been exciting. We departed Biscayne Bay at 0700 on the 3rd and traveled around the south end of Florida just inside the Keys, arriving at Burnt Store Marina in Charlotte harbor at 0345 on the 4th. We were tired but happy. The night sky opened up so we were able to see millions of stars and planets. The were several falling stars. It was beautiful. We learned so much about moving through the water at night, standing watch and checking all the lighted buoys. Dolphins swan with us in the morning as we motored through Pine Island Sound. We were able to put up the sails through Charlotte Harbor. We stayed in the Marina on Thursday and drove up to St. Petersburg with our instructors to attend the boat show. Jeff and Jean, Two Can Sail, were fantastic. We left them in Burnt Store and traveled the next 2 days on our own. We were a little apprehensive but it all went well. We spent the night in Venice then traveled into Tampa Bay, under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. It is even more awesome to go under than over! We navigated into the Harborage Marina successfully and are planning to be here into January.
