Topics from the tropics !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another week went by and we are getting closer and closer to Christmas, only five days of shopping left, so hurry up. For us this Christmas and new year will be a bit different than usual ,no more four Christmas trees to cut and bring home ,cookie baking for the admiral , endless visits with friends and food ,and more and more food . The boat inside is all decorated for holidays ,me and Lala went to our beach ,cut a few branches of funny looking Australian pine and that made the admiral happy (for now). She also had another happy day this week when we all went to COSTCO and the admiral was in her element ,it was like "home sweet home". On the way back we experienced our first tropical storm, it was pouring, buckets of it and "batten down the hutches boys it's going to be a rough one". The weather here for the past week was just beautiful, mid twenties and sunny every day. Me and the kids also went swimming in the Gulf for the first time, the admiral still waiting for the water to boil in the Gulf of Mexico. So funny ,that "haven't been thinking about my job that I left behind ,not even once ,but been thinking how it's going to be when you have to get back to it ,can't even imagine. The boat yard let us stay here in January too, but really, we are not happy about it. Me, I would love to go south ASAP, the admiral is missing people, we are the only liveaboards here. There are still numerous things that have to be done on LALA, and that takes time. We haven't gone sailing since Will left, we are the cruisers now, we don't sail for fun, moving the boat from point "a" to point "b" it's enough. The cabin girl and first mate are doing excellent with their schooling, which usually takes them only three hours a day, and by late lunch, around one, the school is done and they do whatever they want. Misiu is practising his guitar, Lala spends hours seating in the dinghy and fishing .There is a lot of fish right under the boat ,some of them really big ,and some very colourful . We haven't seen it yet, but some people here saw the manatee here this week, after all we are living on Manatee river. That would be it for now, wish you all very merry Christmas and happy New Year.
