08/10/2008, Ventura
Hello Everyone,
Thank you all for all your prayers and support during this delay. You have been so wonderful to us and it is a joy to serve Jesus with you.
Well, we are in Ventura until October.
We had the boat out four times the first day we were moving at 13 knotts. That was a great day and each day out we were tuning the sails and rigging.
On the fourth day out the engine had some problems so we will have to pull the engine this week and finish up on these preparations.
Please pray for a quick engine repair and continued open doors in Central America. We should be there in October.
When hurricane season ends and the engine is repaired we will head south. We are planning to sail to the Islands around Santa Cruz to conduct shake downs of equipment on the boat for a few weeks before our final departure.
There has been so much to praise God for. While we have been delayed I have enjoyed working with the City Kids teams, what a great bunch of people they show so much love and joy and because of it many children have come to know Jesus. We are thrilled to be apart of God's work here in Ventura.
Our prayer is that you know God and the power of his resurection.
His Joy be your strenght, His Peace never leave you and may His Love fill you and guild you.
Let us love not only in word but in word and deed.

Success, after many days and weeks of work the engine is now running, new batteries and cables are in place. Now the insulation and finishing touches are to be applied, but we have a working engine.
Many thanks to Neil and all the others who pitched in to help.
