Off the ball and on the move (thankfully....)

With the Admiral back aboard, we dumped the empty beer cans and rotten vegetables I missed on the first pass, provisioned in Loreto and headed north. First stop was Isla Coronado for the night then on to Pulpito. But along the way (20 miles or so) it was such a nice day we decided to instead go 70 miles to Santispac cove in Bahia de Concepcion. We covered the 70 miles in under-9 hours and had the anchor down with plenty of daylight remaining. These "Victoria driven irresponsible acts of spontaneity" don't usually work well for me - once we (KT, our kids and Jack and Diane) were stuck on Catalina for 4 days after deciding to just "shoot over for lunch" a few years back (kids didn't even have shoes let along rain coats....) - but this "lark" worked very well. Best of all we met up with Barritt and Renee who are heading south - this will be our last time together until MissTeak reaches San Diego in July. Plan to be here for a couple of days and, with the next closest golf course being in San Carlos on the mainland, we'll jump back across on the first weather window to spend a little time in the Guaymas/San Carlos area. It's a 90 mile or so trip across so we can do this without a complete overnight passage and, if all goes as expected, I'll get in my 17th (and maybe more) round of golf in Mexico... For many reasons Bahia de Concepcion is our favorite non-city on the Baja - thus when we jump back to this side of Mexico in 10 days or so, we'll be spending a couple of weeks bouncing around this 27 mile deep bay! Air temp 80, breezy, deep blue sky, water 78 - all good in Mexico with a little over 2 months remaining on the "threepeat!"
