Arrived in Iluka yesterday at 6am after an overnight sail from Southport. Enjoyed a wonderful sail for the first few hours and then motor sailed for the remainder of the trip. Unfortunately, we caught the tail end of a storm cell which we followed from about 11pm until 1.00pm when it hit us. Not enjoyable!!! Needless to say Iluka looked pretty darn good at first light.

We plan to leave for Coffs Harbour Monday or Tuesday (waiting for the southerly to die out) and then Camden Haven.

Have attached photo of sunrise the morning we arrived. Obviously still a lot of cloud from the "super storm cells" that have been hitting the Queensland coast.

Happy Birthday Nicky!!!

Sundowners at Bundaberg
Sharon

Wednesday 3rd October 2007

Happy to catch up with Mike and Michelle on Friendship III in Bundaberg. Photo attached of "the gang" at sundowners.

We left Bundaberg at 6am this morning heading to Kingfisher Resort. We have decided to take advantage of the northerlies and move quickly south. Windsong and Dame Margot are heading to Urangan today so hopefully we will catch up somewhere along the coast.

Our plans (weather permitting) are to leave Kingfisher tomorrow midday and pass through the Great Sandy Staits arriving at Gary's Anchorage tomorrow afternoon. We will then cross the Wide Bay Bar around 3pm Friday before a night sail south to Mooloolaba.

Love to the NSSM girls ..... I'm getting there!!

Great photo - you all look so relaxed!! See you are rushing back on the favourable winds. We are pulling Tahaa II out tomorrow to do the annual clean and anti-foul but First Friday is coming up so maybe some lucky winner will be celebrating. Cheers, D & T
