Hi everyone -- nothing too exciting to report yet, we are still ironing out a couple of electronics details and so are biding our time in lovely Esquimalt, which at the back of the bay is a lot nicer and less industrial than you might expect! Thanks to 'the dudes' for providing shore access and borrowed transport.

A huge thanks to all of our fabulous friends and family who have been so supportive and patient with us during boat preparations! We are going to miss you very very much.

We have had some good sailing so far on the trip to Victoria, also sailed out to Becher Bay and back to practice with the Monitor self-steering which seems to be working very well. As we went out despite a contrary tide, we also got to have a really good, long look at Race Rocks.

We were happy to duck under Victoria's blue bridge for a couple of nights tied next to Owen and his Sculpin, thanks Owen!
