Dec. 24th
After leaving Ensenada we sailed about half-way, then motored from the early morning until 1430 on Dec. 24th when we finally pulled into Caleta Hassler (Hassler Cove) on Isla San Martin, feeling a bit trashed from the journey. We saw good winds early on with swells to match, and the swell lasted after the wind was gone which is never very good for the tummy! Also it seems the longer in port, the harder to adjust to being at sea again.

This island is formed from an old volcano, and though we did not venture through the cacti up to the old craters, a little walk around the shore showed lots of black volcanic rock and interesting plant life.
