A knock on the hull in the morning woke us up: we had unknowingly dropped our stern anchor on top of this guy’s net, which was zigzagged across the bottom of the anchorage. “No problema,” though, he wasn’t too bothered and when we pulled up the anchor the net was undamaged though a couple of little flatfish were even flatter than normal.
This gorgeous anchorage was somewhat exposed to the ocean’s roll, and when there is no wind the boat can end up beam-to the swell which isn’t comfy – thus we use the stern anchor (our trusty aluminum Fortress) which holds the boat bow-first into the waves, a better way to ride them out.
