Road tripping - 1

We are having a great time visiting with Norm and Myrna including a couple of road trips, which is quite a novelty!
Santa Rosalia is a mining town about an hour north of Mulege that is in the middle of a boom. The original copper mines were established by the French around the turn of the last century, but had been out of commission since I think the 60s.
With the high price of copper, a new company is going to start extracting again, and the town has a bustling feel. In fact locals tell us that there isn't room in town to house all of the incoming workers. Also, we have heard that the wages are generally not high enough to attract the locals, so most of the workers are coming in from other parts of Mexico.
As we drove north through town we passed the ruins of the original mine buildings and into several kilometers of construction preparing infrastructure for the new mine.
