Mike completed the fabulous new watermaker installation – it is on the side of the starboard quarterberth, under the cockpit. Previously we ran it by drawing from a five-gallon bucket in the cockpit (which needed to be refilled often) and into a jerry can. It was a part-time job in itself. Now at the flip of a switch the water flows in via a throughhull and eventually into a plumbed-in flexible tank under the cabin sole near the companionway. Hooray!
Perhaps the biggest part of the project was going to the plumbing store every few days to entertain the guy there with our hardware “Spanglish.”
