After Cook’s Bay, we moved just a couple of miles to the west. This time we anchored near mouth of Openohu Bay in front of a small town called Papetoi, close to the barrier reef. We were mostly alone in this little spot, which was conveniently close to baguettes and beer and also protected by the reef around us. Most of the other cruisers were anchored on the other side of the bay but this was a nice spot for us to wait out a couple of blustery days before moving on.
