On the east side of Tahaa, we anchored at the end of another long bay called Haamene, and went for a walk up to a viewpoint in the hills. A couple of particularly healthy and un-mangy local dogs joined us for the walk and kept us entertained as they tried unsuccessfully to flush out wild chickens and pounce on little lizards in the underbrush.
