06/20/2013, BORA BORA (AGAIN)

We departed Papeete Monday morning, heading west. We stayed in Moorea Monday night, and our new crew spent the morning enjoying the great jeep tour of the island, returning with loads of personally picked local fresh fruit. Jon is passionate about his freshly picked passion fruit: it flavors all of his water bottles. Departure was Tuesday afternoon for the 24 hour passage to Bora Bora where we will clear customs and immigration out of French Polynesia and on to the Cook Islands, Nuie and the Tonga where we will re-meet with Steve and Edie for more sailing.

Magical moments - pods of dolphins greeting us on the way into Moorea and then again on departure.

Changeover Day: Pictured above: Michael, Linda, Jon, Ken, Ronnie and Lil. The crew for the voyage from Tahiti to Tonga has, at long last, all arrived safely...but, everyone who travels knows, it is often fraught with adventure. Ronnie's connections got messed up, and instead of arriving at 10 PM Saturday, she was re-routed and arrived at 5 AM Sunday....similar to what happened to Steve, Edie and Lil on their trip over. We basically spent the day chillin' and getting organized. Tomorrow: on to Moorea.

We are now back in Papeete for a crew change today, reprovisioning and minor boat chores. Planned departure to start West bound will be tomorrow or Monday.
