Whilst I was in Australia Alan was busy preparing Moonfleet for her refit. On the 27th January he bought the boat into the Boat Lagoon Marina where the work was to be done. The channel into the marina through the mangroves is long and narrow so it had to be navigated at High Water Springs for us to get down. Alan arranged for a pilot from the marina to meet him at the entrance to the channel to take Moonfleet through.

Along the channel banks there are many Thai fishing villages, these are in complete contrast to the Boat Lagoon’s modern, western style marina and resort complex.
