Emily and Ben have now happily returned to school after their long summer holidays but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time looking after them whilst Steve and Tasha are at work. Because Steve and Tasha let me have their car whilst they commuted into the city I have been able to get out and about with them exploring the area around Upwey.

Today I traveled into the city on the Metro with Steve, and then caught the Skybus to Melbourne airport. My flight left at 10.30am so the 7 hr journey across the interior of Australia was in daylight. The sky was so clear I had a fantastic view of the salt lakes and inhospitable deserts in the centre of Australia.
