This evening as I look out at this beautiful anchorage, I am amazed at the incredible cross-section of the world at our doorstep. There are several Canadian boats, and almost as many American boats. But there are British, Irish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, French, Dutch, South African, Brazilian and probably a few more I haven't recognized. (Continued...)

The week of January, 24th proved to be a little exciting. This was the week of the annual Megayacht race here in Antigua. There aren't a lot of entries, usually about half a dozen or so and this year had a decent turnout. There was Visione from Germany along with Ranger and Rebecca from the US along with a few others. All of which were at least 100 ft. long. A special attraction was Mirabella V, the world's largest sloop rigged ship. She is just over 300 feet long and has the world's largest mast at, get this, 390 feet tall. Very impressive to say the least. (Continued...)

I know, I know...we have been a little lazy getting this update into the blog. The last couple of weeks have been idyllic and we have been just soaking up the laid-back lifestyle. Most of the time we have spent on the boat, relaxing, reading a ton of books, relaxing, swimming, relaxing... it has been just great. (Continued...)
