Watermelon finally on her way to Baltic

After several delays, we are finally loading WATERMELON onto the ship that is going to transport her to the Baltic. Six of the seven PDQs headed for the Baltic Adventure were loaded here in Ft. Lauderdale. The ship, Suomigracht, will then head for Portsmouth, RI to load the last of the PDQs before heading for Europe and the Baltic.
The delays due to weather, and the fact that we were not able to field enough boats to fill the ship's deck cargo means that Suomigracht will be making one or two additional stops for cargo before arriving in Rauma, Finland where our boats will be offloaded. The ETA in Rauma is now June 29, about 25 days later than was originally expected.
It's probably a good thing that I didn't make plane reservations yet for the trip over. Most of the people who did have had to pay $500 and more to change their reservations, still cheaper than staying in hotels for three weeks until the boats arrive.
Now that Watermelon is loaded, it's time to get serious.
