Our ship has come in!

Our ship has come in! SUOMIGRACHT arrived in Rauma some time this morning, and Peter went to the boat early so that he could put new prop zincs on, and to check for any obvious damage. He had enough time to really clean the props of barnacles, and then did the same for one of the other PDQs in the flotilla. One of the owners had rented a car and wound up being chauffer for all the other owners as we made our way to SUOMIGRACHT to claim our boats. WATERMELON was the first of the PDQs to be launched, and people were frantically looking for me to join Peter.
Before the boats had arrived, we had been told that there would be no launch to bring us to our boats, and everybody speculated that we would have to climb down a rope ladder to board the boat once it was in the water. I was not looking forward to that at all, at all. So when I got to the boat and Peter handed me a life jacket and said we would be riding WATERMELON down, I was a happy camper. We were the first PDQ to launch, and I was later told that once we hopped on and were safely and securely lowered to the water and released, the general anxiety level of the remaining owners dropped appreciably. I understand that; the unknown always seems to be more frightening than the known.
We then proceeded to a little marina in the bay right around the point from the ship's berth.
A beautiful sunset which we hope augurs well for the morning.
