Playa Curu, Naranja

We headed just across the way to Playa Curu and anchored in the bay, it is a small bay but there is enough room for the 3 boats. We heard there was a small park here and so off we went in our dinghies to explore and find out more. Once there we found we could walk through the park and see monkeys, etc. Fran, Jean-Guy, Doreen and Ken all decided to do the tour by horseback, Russ and I walked the trail. It was about a kilometer and a half. We did see the white faced, capaccino monkey, some white tailed deer and a tree full of buzzards. It was hot and humid but great exercise. Not much else to see or do at this anchorage.
The next day we kept heading north so that we can be in Puntarenas on Jan 9th.
On the way to Naranja, Doreen had been baking all day while underway, she baked Cinnamon Buns, Bread and Garlic Bread, what a treat!
Naranja was a little dissapointing, there was not much there. We did take a walk on shore and went to a local restaurant near the ferry terminal but it was nothing spectacular.
Our friend ended up getting a tick bite and his wife had to pull it out, luckily she got it early, now it was pretty urgent that we get to Puntarenas so he can have it checked out by a doctor.
