Surprise! We're Home!

Just as your sailing destinations can change depending on the wind or weather so can your whole cruising plan change depending on weather and circumstances. We mentioned in an earlier blog that we had postponed our plans to go to the South Pacific because we felt there was so much more to see in Mexico and we didn’t want to rush ourselves by having to leave this past March or April. We planned to continue cruising the Mexican waters until we feel it is time to move on. Saying that, we plan on cruising the Sea of Cortez next Spring. Once we made the decision to remain in Mexico for a couple of years other events took place that once again made changes to our plans. It really is a wonderful thing to be retired as only then does one have the opportunity to make frequent changes to your daily, weekly or monthly plans. In early January of this year we received notice that our tenant who is renting our house in Campbell River would be moving out at the end of the lease which ended in April. We took this opportunity to move back into our house for the summer/fall and have left our boat in Nuevo Vallarta until we return. So we haven’t given up cruising we just have come home for awhile. I’ve had some requests to continue the blog while we are home and we don’t want to lose any of our followers so stay tuned for our Campbell River Adventures!
