Fresh Crew

Surprising alert, and ready to tour the town, is the best way to describe Jim & Tim's arrival. So after stowing their gear and some bira in the cockpit we were off. Wonderful meal ashore followed by a delicious deep restful sleep. It is still hard to believe the almost total lack of sound here. The light breeze that gets up mid-morning dies off at night to a dead calm. No car horns, no dogs barking, only the early morning call to prayer.
Turkey has implemented a "Blue Card" program for cruisers. A credit card is issued to each yacht and records each pump out of black water, grey water and bilge. Necessity required a pump out to comply with the regulations simply due to the length of time we have been cruising the coasts of Turkey. So off across the little bay we went to another marina that provides pump out services. Receipt in hand, along with an updated blue card, we headed back to our agent's office (where we were cordially received and supplied with tea) to have the ship's transit log updated to reflect the crew change.
We were off the dock in plenty of time to make our overnight anchorage a few miles south. Swimming, dinghy exploring, dinner in the cockpit, star show and a restful night's sleep with no wind, waves or bugs. The magic of Turkey continues.
