Into Gorkova Korfezi (Gulf of Keramos)

Sunday October 14, 2012
We spent the mid day motoring upwind around the point and heading around the Greek island of Kos which protects the Gulf of Keramos. The freighters all seemed to stay in Turkish waters but we cut he corner through Greek territory. We could see the city of Halicarnassus (now Bodrum) in the distance. The autopilot seemed to straighten out its issues and worked fine for the latter part of the trip and we anchored off a beach resort in Kargi Buku just west of Bodrum by mid afternoon. Rene swam at the boat while Brian packed shoes, shirt and a hat in a dry bag and swam to shore for a look around. The resort was quite new and full of German families. There was also a “Holiday Village” (resort condos) as well. Another dinner in the cockpit (we have not eaten below at all on this trip) and an early night.
