Up early and arrived at the marina by 9. We worked on small projects waiting for our launch time which finally arrived at 1200. A hydraulic trailer arrived and picked up Necessity in her cradle and took her to the launch well where a 70 ton travel lift awaited. The previous boat to be launched was a 100’ powerboat using a 360 ton travel lift! This place is amazing. There are more large boats here than I have ever seen! We were soon dropped in the water and escorted to a spot where we wedged ourselves in to an empty slip and tied off – all in a half hour. This is a very efficient marina and everything seems to work!
The afternoon was spent reassembling Necessity and washing the Sahara sand off the deck while Rene cleaned below. We shopped for a few groceries and had a quiet dinner on board. The weather was warm and shorts were in order. We enjoyed the view and the thousands of masts all around us.
