Monday April 14, 2014
All was quiet when we snuck out of Grand Harbour at 0500. There was little wind so we motored the entire 77 miles back to Licata making over 7kn at times with some assistance from the mainsail. Jim & Jackie stayed in the v-berth a bit too long and suffered the after effects of the confused swell and chop that persisted till mid afternoon. Brian started and finished the first book of the trip so far while Rene tried to catch up on some sleep to rid herself of her persistent head cold. At one point Necessity was surrounded by 8 ships as she crossed the Malta Channel.
We arrived back in Licata at 5PM and were soon attached to the marina once more. Jim and Jackie set off for the showers and Brian hosed down the boat before the group headed to Le Fiabe for dinner and an early night.
