Race 6 of the 2013 CYCA Winter Series
02 June 2013 | Sydney Harbor
Strong wind and torrental rain
Crew (Jeff, Manuel, Ilse, Tessa, Luke, Chris, Andrew, Dan - but abandoned because of the strong wind)
With the previous week's race Abandoned from lack of wind, this week was a blow away... well, it was predicted to be in the 20's and 30's so CYCA Abandoned the race around 10am. Crew assembled in the pouring rain under the CYCA roof and debated the merits of canceling a race due to moderate winds. I believe the race could go on, letting boats and skippers decide if they are wind and weather ready. If not, key learning's are made out at sea in bad weather instead of in the harbor. Oh well, at least I got a boat work day in!
