Rainbow
cloudy with some rain
12/08/2009, Florida

We were sailing from St Augustine in the Matanzas river to The Ponce De leon Inlet , just South of Daytona,Fl. We were on our way into the Inlet, the rain stopped and this beautiful rainbow appeared at the stern of the boat, you could see both ends of the rainbow. The glimse of a second rainbow also. I did a movie of it to get the full view, hope you can see it and enjoy it as much as we did. Both of us have never seen this before. you will have to go to link to see movie.

You are two wonderful people and we couldn't ask for better relatives. We hope you are enjoying your trip and having many wonderful adventures during the holiday season. Those that are too busy trying to upset others, need to take a good look at their own past!

Isn't it amazing how some send Xmas cards this time of year, while those relatives out there send comments using others e-mail, surely knowing how easily it is to trace the origional sender. Merry Christmas!

Cumberland Island, National Seashore Georgia

11/30/2009, Cumberland Island, Georgia

Forests so quiet that you can hear yourself breathe, sunlight filtered and diffused through over-arching trees and vines, sounds of small animals scurrying in the underbrush, the gentle splash of the water moving through the salt marsh, the courting bellow of the alligator, blinding light on the water and sand as you emerge from the shadows of the live oak forest, a standing row of slave cabin chimneys, fallow gardens and crumbling walls of mansions from by-gone eras. This is Cumberland Island, Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier Island and protected as a national seashore.
Cumberland Island does not let you down in it's description. We enjoyed hiking thru the marsh areas, along the beaches and thru the trails of maritime forest. The Island is a place we put on our list of places to visit again.
Cheers for now.. Added a photo link of Cumberland Island.
The photo is the ruins of Dungeness mansion , then/now.

US Thanksgiving Dinner
Sun/Warm
11/26/2009, St Mary's, Georgia

What a great Thanksgiving Dinner we had in St Mary's. As you can see we had lots of food and drink. Cheers for now.... more later. At Seagles/Riverview Hotel,
It's a big potluck! The community supplies baked turkey, ham, and steamed oysters. Cruisers bring side dishes, salads, and deserts; everyone contributes. The casual family-style gathering brings good times, good food, good friends.
We had friends from Sailing vessel" Time EnoughII" and " Abraxas" join us in celebrating the US thanksgiving. We had a fun time starting on The tuesday before thanksgiving, with gathering at Seagles each night around five thirty for drinks , each boat brings an Hor 'Derve. At this time you get to meet other boaters.
The guys had a great time , they all got hit on, yes hit on at the gatherings. The women that hit on them were gone in a flash once they found out they all had signifigant others. It gave them something to chuckle about because they did find it amusing.
Each night we went back to our boat where Terri from Abraxas cooked a fabulous dinner . Carol and I were the salad makers and helpers. Then we listened to music , sang and danced. How great is that?

We are on our way to Cumberland Island to hike the Island , Cheers for now.
