We arrived at Deshais in Guadeloupe after a fabulous sail from Anitgua to find the anchorage full so we went on to Pigeon Island another 10 miles maybe. . The winds were turning more from the southeast so we stayed only a day then continued to BasseTerre. We thought then, why not take advantage of the south winds and sail up to Pointe-a-Pitre. Guadeloupe’s international airport is located north of Pointe-à-Pitre. Guadeloupe maintains regular air and sea links with France and with the North American continent.
