We visited the national park today. Inside the park on an island is a 12th century monastery. The church is still functional but they are doing some excavation in the monastery itself. We walked around the island a few times before embarking to another part of the park. The monastery is in a salt lake with 37% salinity. I thought the Mediterranean was already pretty salty but this is even higher concentration. We hiked around the smaller lake and couldn�'t wait to get back to the boat and out of the heat.
