Three years ago, today, Chris and I were driving down the coastline and stopped in Ventura, Ca. It was a beautiful sunny day. We decided to eat lunch at the harbor. Chris was looking out across the bay when he muttered to me, "I always wanted to buy a sailboat." I asked him the most logical question..."Do you know how to sail?" His reply was, "No but I'm sure I can figure it out." It had always been his dream but he had never pursued it. He was afraid of giving something totally new a try. I don't believe in sitting on the sidelines and watching other people pursue their dreams so I told him, "What's stopping you?" Two days later we were the proud owners of a 30' O'Day sailboat that neither one of us knew how to sail. Chris's life long dream had just become my reality.
