The Forward Stateroom
25 April 2007

The forward stateroom (fancy way of saying "vee-berth) has a drawer beneath the head of each berth, as well as an open locker beneath each drawer. There is also a single seat on a small locker (sometimes called the liquor locker) between the two berths.
Each berth has its own reading lamp, plus a shelf for personal stuff. There are two battery-operated personal fans included, as well as a screen for the forward hatch. This hatch as the effect of giving more headroom, as well as admitting light to the forward cabin.
The generous anchor locker is forward of the vee berth, and drains into the bilge. In this photo there are two 1/2" anchor rodes, plus 12' of chain in the locker.
Note the paneled door to the left of the photo.
A water tank is fitted underneath the forward end of the vee-berth.
