Fiji is moving up the list!

Fiji is improving rapidly in our view! The islands are beautiful, sailing is great, and the fishing and diving are world class...really! As we were sailing into Savusavu we simultaneously caught two Yellow Fin Tuna and a large Mahi Mahi, and sailing over to Viani Bay, we caught a 52" Mahi Mahi....it's going on the grill tonite! We cleared out of Savusavu and finished our paperwork and sailed over to Jack Fisher's place just in time to enjoy another large pit roast and gathering of local cruisers. Really nice people and great food! Today we went diving with Dolphin bay Divers to the White Wall and Coral Patch...absolutely world class diving. We swam through tunnels and explored a very vertical reef just covered with life in near perfect visibility. Highlights included a near pass from a Great Hammerhead Shark, the largest we've seen, and a 6' sea snake brightly colored with bands of black and white. During the tidal flow, the soft corals and sea anemones were out in full bloom looking for food, with thousands of brightly colored reef fish of all descriptions. These were the best two dives we've had so far, INCLUDING the Tuamotus!
We're really warming up to the place!
