230 miles from Darwin

We're 230 miles from Darwin, and will enter an interesting passage around the bottom of Melville Island with strong tides and counterintuitive currents. In this area the tide flows west during both ebb and flood tide, then switches and flows east during both ebb and flood tide due to the bottom contours and the different basins of water feeding the area. Kinda cool. We've decided to pick up our pace a little and try to arrive tomorrow evening as the tides will be running in our favor through all three passages if we hit them right. We'll see...smooth sailing for now as long as the wind holds up!
